We welcome back the popular Summer Series this year, running along scenic country lanes, starting and finishing at our training ground on Pirnhow Street. The race is mostly on-road but with a hard-wearing path at the end, leading back onto the field.
Races start: at 7.30pm. We will not have a cut-off time but because of the evenings drawing in, the course and finish will be marshalled until 9.00pm. Runners may still participate who may take longer than the 90 minutes allowed but please wear a hi-viz/reflective vest and head/body torch, and be aware that there may not be crowds at the finish.
The 2024 dates to put in your diary are:
- Race 1 – early June
- Race 2 – late June
- Race 3 – mid-late July
Parking: Parking will be available at race HQ.
Number collection: Race numbers will be available to pick up on race day from 6.30pm and we will be able to take on-the-day entries at an extra cost of £1 per entry (assuming that race has not sold out – check the club’s social media for last minute information on this).
Bag drop: There will be no bag drop – the car park is close to the start/finish so please leave your belongings in your car. BBDRC take no responsibility for any items left in your vehicle or at race HQ.
Refreshments: Tea, coffee, cakes will be available for a small donation.
Facilities: You will have access to toilets on-site but not changing facilities.
Headphones: No headphones will be permitted at these races (this includes bone-conducting headphones). Anyone wearing headphones of any type will be disqualified.
Memento: all runners will receive a memento after each race.
