Fantastic Atmosphere Launches the Black Dog Summer Series 2026
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening event of the Bungay Black Dog Running Club 2026 Summer Series—it was a brilliant start to the season!
Our gently undulating 10K, starting from the BARC training ground in Ditchingham, treated runners to beautiful views along the scenic country lanes of the Waveney Valley. Despite a few heavy showers, spirits remained high as an impressive 254 runners crossed the finish line.
Leading the field was Black Dog’s own Morris Bacon, who took first place in a fantastic time of 36:00.2. First female finisher was Lisa Knights of Vegan Runners UK, who delivered a superb performance to finish in 43:38. Congratulations to them and to all our inspiring age category winners!
The race day buzz was matched by the incredible support from our Kitchen Crew, who once again delighted runners with a wonderful spread of savoury pastries, cakes, and refreshments. A special thanks also goes to Adnams Brewery for generously providing a refreshing can of Alcohol-Free Ghost Ship for every finisher—very well received after the run!
If you missed this first race, there’s still plenty to look forward to. Entries remain open for the next two events on 24th June and 15th July via Total Race Timing—don’t miss your chance to be part of the series.
