Bungay Black Dog Runners Go the Extra Mile for Guide Dogs

Bungay Black Dog Running Club is delighted to announce donation of proceeds from its annual Boxing Day cross-country run, Groggy Doggy, to the local Guide Dogs charity, continuing a tradition of supporting a charity close to the club’s heart.
The much-loved event, now a familiar fixture in the Bungay calendar, takes place across Bungay Common and welcomes runners of all abilities – with and without dogs.
Held every Boxing Day, Groggy Doggy combines muddy fun, festive spirit, and a strong sense of community, attracting participants and spectators alike.
This year’s event raised £479, which has been donated to the local Guide Dogs branch, in recognition of the vital work they do supporting visually impaired people in the area. The charity has a particular significance for the club, which includes several visually impaired runners who train and compete.
Bungay Black Dog Running Club prides itself on being friendly, inclusive, and welcoming to runners of all backgrounds and abilities. Anyone interested in finding out more about the club or getting involved can visit our website.
