The club have been invited to take part in the Black Shuck Festival (https://blackshuckfestival.com/) taking place Friday 4th – Sunday 6th August.

As part of the festival opening, we will be organising the “Black Shuck Run” which will follow a route from Blythburgh to Bungay which legend has it the original black shuck took on 4th August 1577, 446 years ago to the day.

The full route is 15.3 miles and the plan is to have several LiRF led runs starting at different points along the route and all converge in Bungay where we will carry an effigy of the Black Shuck into town to kick off festival proceedings. This is a fantastic opportunity to promote the club in a unique way.

As there are several logistics (and a memento for all participants) involved we are asking members to sign up in advance so please can you use this form to indicate the run you would like to go on.

Details of the full route can be found here : https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/160698863

Start points are in the table below, the full list can be found here: https://what3words.com/list/1393689477

The pace guides will ensure we all arrive to the finish at the same time so the suggestion for runners is if you cannot confidently run at the guide pace please choose the next one down and loop.
